Getting started

  1. Go to the signup page and enter your signup code — you'll need one from us to create an account while SidelineWatch is still in its testing phase.
  2. Fill in your name (or family name), email, password, and timezone, agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and create your account.
  3. Check your email and confirm your address — alerts won't go out until it's verified.
  4. Add your first calendar: pick the platform your team uses, follow the steps shown for that specific platform to find your calendar's link, and paste it in.
  5. Repeat for every other team or kid. There's no limit — add as many as you need.
  6. That's it. SidelineWatch starts watching within 15 minutes, and you'll get an alert the moment anything changes.

How it works

What is SidelineWatch?

SidelineWatch watches your kids' team calendars — across TeamSnap, SportsEngine, LeagueApps, Sprocket, SportsYou, Google Calendar, and others — and tells you the moment something changes or two events land in the same window, so you're not the one who finds out by showing up to an empty field.

Which platforms does it work with?

TeamSnap, SportsEngine, LeagueApps, Sprocket, SportsYou, and Google Calendar are all directly supported, with step-by-step instructions for each. If your team uses something else, the "Other" option covers any calendar that can give you a standard calendar link.

Do I need to install anything or create new accounts on those platforms?

No. You just need the calendar link your team's existing platform already provides — the same kind of link you'd use to add the schedule to Google or Apple Calendar yourself.

How many calendars can I add?

As many as you need — one kid on three teams, three kids on one team each, or anything in between. There's no limit.

How fast will I know if something changes?

Every connected calendar is checked every 15 minutes.

Can I see everything in one place, not just in email?

Yes — your dashboard has a merged calendar view across every team, and you can also sync everything directly into your own Google or Apple Calendar with one link.

What if I want a weekly summary instead of watching constantly?

You'll also get a digest email every Sunday covering the week ahead — sent whether or not anything's changed, so you always know it's still watching.

Can someone else — a co-parent, grandparent, or coach — get the alerts too?

Yes. From your dashboard, you can add extra email addresses that receive the same alerts, each with their own one-click way to stop any time.

Free trial & billing

Is there a free trial?

Yes — every new account starts with a free trial (the length is shown at signup), with full access to try SidelineWatch on your real teams before anything is charged.

Do I need a credit card to start the trial?

No. No payment details are required to start — you'll only be asked for one if and when you choose to subscribe.

How much does it cost?

$49 per year.

Can I subscribe before my trial ends?

Yes. If you do, you won't be charged until your trial period would have ended anyway — subscribing early never costs you the free days you'd have gotten otherwise.

How do I cancel?

From your dashboard, any time — no phone call, email, or support ticket required. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access through whatever period you've already paid for.

Will I be refunded if I cancel partway through a paid period?

No — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the full details.

Privacy & accuracy

Is SidelineWatch always accurate?

We do our best to catch changes and conflicts quickly, but SidelineWatch is only as accurate as the calendars it reads — if a coach hasn't updated the source calendar yet, we won't know either. Always confirm directly with your team for anything time-sensitive.

Are you affiliated with TeamSnap, SportsEngine, or the other platforms?

No. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them — we simply read the schedule data you connect, on your behalf.

Is my data safe? Do you sell it?

We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what we collect and how it's used.

Managing your account

Can I pause alerts without cancelling — like during the off-season?

Yes. Pausing keeps everything set up but stops emails; resume any time from the same link or your dashboard.

Can I add or remove a calendar later?

Any time, from your dashboard.

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Use the "Forgot your password?" link on the login page.
